1. About NocNoc
NocNoc Pty Ltd (ABN 57 687 311 342) (“NocNoc”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the NocNoc mobile application, website and event management platform. We enable venues, event organisers and attendees to manage seating and network smarter at business events. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect your name, email and contact details; event attendance and seating information; dietary preferences (if you choose to provide them); professional profile details and business links; messages and connections made through the app; device information, IP address and usage analytics. We only collect information reasonably necessary to deliver our services or where you have provided consent.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information when you create or update an account or profile; participate in an event; communicate with attendees or organisers; contact support or subscribe to updates. We may receive limited information from organisers or venues via our CMS. Where lawful and practical, you may interact with us anonymously or under a pseudonym; however, some features (such as seat allocation) require identifiable details.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to manage registrations, seating and guest lists; facilitate networking and messaging; send updates, reminders and in-event notifications; assist organisers and venues; improve the platform; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Marketing & Communications
We may send updates about features, event tools or partner offers relevant to your use of NocNoc. You can opt out any time via “unsubscribe” or by emailing support@nocnoc.au.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
We may share information with organisers and venues relevant to your attendance; trusted service providers for hosting, analytics and technical support; and regulators or law enforcement where required. All third parties must handle information in line with Australian privacy laws.
7. Overseas Data Storage
Some data may be processed or stored with secure cloud providers outside Australia. We ensure comparable privacy protections to those required under Australian law.
8. Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access and store data on secure servers with restricted access. Personal information is kept only as long as necessary or required by law and is securely deleted or anonymised in line with our Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
9. Access and Correction
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting support@nocnoc.au. We will respond within 30 days and may request identity verification.
10. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and analytics to improve performance and user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not function correctly.
11. Complaints

We may update this Policy periodically. Changes will be published with the new effective date.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION POLICY
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to deliver our services and comply with legal requirements. User accounts: retained while active. Event data: retained for up to 24 months after the event, then deleted or anonymised. Communications logs: held for 12 months for support and security. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@nocnoc.au ; verified requests will be completed within 30 days (backups within 90 days where feasible).
